The Value of a Real Estate Appraisal

What is it worth?

You've decided it's time to buy a home - maybe the single largest investment that you will make in your lifetime!

You're not just looking for a house; you're looking for a home.  Someplace where you will spend several years and build memories.  It's not just an investment of money; it's an investment of yourself and the years you spend there.

Appraisers holding the CRA (Canadian Residential Appraiser) designation can appraise residential properties up to four units and vacant land suitable for residential dwellings.  Those holding the AACI Designation can do commercial and industrial properties in addition to residential.

Before making an offer to purchase, you'll want to know what an expert says the property is worth.  This independent opinion could save you thousands of dollars, and can help you get a mortgage.  To find a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, visit their website at www.aicanada.org.
